[With the best timing they could've come up with, the Malnosso have returned a certain young mage a couple of kilometers from the entrance to the tunnels. Badly hurt, barely moving and bleeding profusely, it looks as if he's yet another victim - another casualty. Thankfully, his journal seems to be working just fine, and picks up his shallow, ragged breathing and a weak cry for help - ]

[It's not like he'll see them anyway, as he closes his eyes when Raine starts on her healspam. He sighs, and relaxes a little.]

What d'you mean I miss a lot? Did something - happen?

We'll explain more when you're well. For now, your wounds come first.

[Her voice has that odd, distracted quality to it, though that's probably not too easily picked up. And the healspam begins, the focus more on Filial magic rather than her usual spells.]

[and he'll just wait while Raine heals, because there isn't much he can do yet]

You aren't hurt anywhere else, are you?

M'not sure. I feel a little better now, though, so- [He tries to sit up a little straighter to prove it, fails, and leans back down. Nevermind.]

[Gently, but firm:] You need to rest.

Lloyd, can you carry him for now? I can continue healing him once we reach the others.

Okay.

[he bends down to lift Genis onto his back, between the giant wings. If Genis hasn't noticed yet, well...]

[He's still a bit out of it, wincing slightly every now and then as Lloyd lifts him onto his back. He does notice the wings, though. With their color, they're kinda hard to miss.]

Lloyd, your wings - they're-!

Don't worry about that now.

Lloyd -- let's go.

Right. [and he starts walking...] Where are we heading, Professor?

[Tries to twist around to look at his sister; weren't her wings different too?]

What's going on...?

[Yes, Genis, they're pale and glowing a bit.]

Back to the house. [Raine feels a little guilty about leaving too quickly and not telling Albert, but Nala wouldn't have any of that, and her influence is still strong at the moment.] He should be in bed, and the clinic, as far as I know, is still closed off.

... It will be explained properly later, dear. Hush now.

[The Professor acting all... motherly is a little weird, but Lloyd decides not to comment on it.]

Yeah, we'll fill you in when you're feeling better.

[There's a little sigh and he gives in, too tired to argue.]

I missed a lot, huh?

[She indicates for Lloyd to begin following her.]

[and follow Lloyd does, heading for the Sage and Silverberg house.]

[And Genis just falls quiet, deciding to save the questions for later since he seems to be falling asleep.]

[Good. Less talking, more walking and more healing, when they're settled in later.]

[Looks like he's shifting in and out of sleep, though. He perks up a little bit when House 42 comes into view, the thought of a nice warm bed making him relax.]

[After leading Lloyd towards Genis's room to put him down so he can rest, she sets up a watch over him, checking his other injuries and continuing the healing while she can.]
