[There's a delicious aroma wafting out of the windows of House 42. Whatever it is, it smells fantastic. Curiously peeking into the windows won't help you find out what it is, though, as the chef seems to have fallen asleep on the kitchen table, exhausted. Apparently the last event tuckered him out and it's only catching up to him now.]

Agumon? What's that?

Agumon's my Digimon partner!

A Digimon partner? Sounds cool! What does it do?

Anything. The Digimon are monsters made of data, so they think and talk and eat and sleep like people, sorta. Ours helped us save the Digital World, Earth too. Because of us, they could evolve bigger and bigger, huge monsters that could fight and protect us.

Digital monsters that fight for and protect you, and helped saved your worlds? That sounds awesome!

Way awesome! All eight of us had partners but they were all different.

Eight of you? Did your sister have one, too? That's pretty cool!

Yeah, there were eight of us in the team and we all have one. My sister has one, her name's Tailmon.

Sounds like you guys got into some adventure!

Huh, I wonder how your monsters get around, if they're made of data...?

What do you mean?

I mean - they're data. That isn't tangible, you know? How does it work?

The entire Digital World's made of data...but I'm not sure how it worked when they came home to Earth with us.

That'd be interesting to find out... So does that mean you turn into data when you enter their world?

That's what we thought at first but we found out that that really wasn't true, not exactly anyway. It was kind of scary, being in a totally different world and knowing we could be deleted like that. We got used to it but it was still weird to think about.

But you made it out okay, so it's fine, right?

Wow, being deleted... Must've been weird!

Yeah after almost being eaten about a million times. But we beat all the bad guys and saved the world, it was amazing!

Not as weird as going back and forth to the Digital World. Being downloaded...not many kids can say that they've done that.

And you were all just kids, too! That's really amazing.

That's what everybody says. But I guess it makes sense why, we were just two eight-year-olds, two ten-year-olds, three eleven-year-olds, and a twelve-year-old. We didn't know what we were doing half of the time actually but we knew we had to help.

And people said I was too young to join Lloyd and the others... You guys were all younger than I was!

But it's still really cool that you did that; not many kids would've done the same.

I don't think we really had a choice. We were chosen from the very beginning.

Huh, I think people always have a choice. Sure, you were chosen from the start, but you could've always done something else, you know?

Yeah, but then the world would have been destroyed. And so would our world. It's not really something that we wanted to see you know?

Which is why it's a good thing that you guys were the ones who were chosen, right? Imagine if there was some other kid who was chosen and other ideas. [shrugs]
