It's been a whole week, but Raine won't let me out of the house. I've run out of things to do and I think I may be dying from boredom. D'you guys think I can sneak out? I'm well enough to try some spellcasting or something by now, right? Anything to get me out of here!

Well, depending on how banged up you still are, we could swing by the lake for a little practice now. I saw you when the Malnosso dropped you off though... [Her smile falters a bit.] You... really looked half-dead, Genis.

I'm fine now, really... And I'm so out of practice, it's not even funny-

[He doesn't remember much from that day, really, apart from Raine and Albert bringing him home. He's not even sure how bad it was when he was found, so this is a first.]}

Yeah, you look okay now, but...

[The story, the memories, just come spilling out of her mouth.] I think I was the first to find you. You were lying on the side of the path in to town from the lake. You were all bruised up, and had some nasty cuts on your face, but the worst was one of your arms... limbs shouldn't bend that way. It's amazing you're feeling as good as you are now.

I went to try and find you a healer, and I guess Raine and Albert found you while I was gone. I ran into Sheena on the way and led her back to you... but by the time we got there, they'd already taken you. Good thing we have the journals to get in touch with people... I might've started to freak otherwise.

_{[He goes quiet, for a bit. He wasn't aware it was that bad; he doesn't even remember.]}

Yeah, well, Raine's really really good at healing spells; maybe that's why-...

_{[What's this? Guilt is creeping up on him for leaving Raine hanging like that. Oh great, now he feels terrible.]}

Yeah... That's why she was so worried about you. I know you didn't like being cooped up, and... I wanted to see you and be sure you were okay, so that's why I came by, but... [She lowers her head. Guilt can be shared!]

Right, right... _{[He sighs]}

Thanks for coming to see me, Arche. But I guess- I should probably go back, shouldn't I...? _{She's gonna kill me isn't she.}

_{She's scary when she's mad; just saying.}

_{[Well, the guilt is kinda gnawing at him for now, so he's just going to stay quiet]}

[Despite what Chester says, she does know when to keep quiet. Floating back towards the Sage/Silverberg residence, she begins a slow descent to the ground, making the return trip in moody silence.]

_{[He carefully steps off when they touchdown, and kind of steps aside so she can dismount.]}

Hey, Arche...? I'm sorry I got you into this.

Hey now, you didn't get me into anything. [She hops off the broom.] I offered. So don't worry about that.

_{[He's kinda standing by the front door awkwardly now. Should he knock, or just...?]}

[She just kinda stands back and waits for either Genis or someone inside to open the door.]

_{[Well, idleness never suited him, so he makes up his mind to open the door himself after a light knock. He peeks inside-]}

... Raine? _{Uh, I'm home.}

[As Genis opens the door, Raine steps back from where she was opening it, her hand falling to her side. She doesn't say anything, though, simply waiting with that disapproving sisterly look.]

_{[Fff. He stands there and can't quite meet her disapproving!look.]}

Ah- Hi...?

[Arche places a hand on Genis's shoulder, then steps up to Raine, head down.] This was my fault. I'm the one who convinced him to go out flying with me. Don't be too upset with him, please.

[She looks back and forth between the two of them, favoring them with silence for another moment and a disapproving look, before lowering her head with a sigh.]

I see. Though I would rather he took responsibility for his own actions as well. Genis, please come inside.

_{[He looks up, like he wants to say something to that; but decides against it. He steps inside and waves goodbye to Arche.]}

Bye kiddo... 'M sorry again. [And with that, she takes off.]

[As soon as Arche leaves, Raine closes the door with a sigh, then turns towards Genis.]
